Ingredients:

  • 4 medium size Gala Apples (or any good sweet baking apple)
  • 1 15oz can fruit cocktail in heavy syrup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup water

Directions:

  1. Pre Heat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Wash and dry the apples, cut out the center of the apples and remove the core and seeds.
  3. In a baking dish pour the water in the bottom and place the apples on top.
  4. Spoon 2 heaping tablespoon of the fruit cocktail into the center of each apple. Pour the rest of the remaining fruit cocktail over the apples.
  5. Sprinkle apples with the brown sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Bake for 1 hour, or until apples are soft and tender.
  7. Serve warm
